What to Expect Whether you’ve attended church your whole life or never stepped foot in one before we know it’s not easy visiting a new church for the first time. You’re not quite sure what to expect. You probably have a lot of questions. What does a weekend service look like? How should I dress? Where do I park? How long does the service last? What about my kids? Those are all great questions! Here is some information that should help…

What time are the services? We meet on Sundays at 10:30 am for our Worship Service which lasts about 60 minutes.

What should I wear? Pearl River UMC is a “come as you are” church and we have a very casual environment. Wear what you feel comfortable in.

Where do I park? Parking is on the street along Franklin Avenue or John Street.

What is the music like? Our Sunday service music is primarily traditional hymns accompanied by the organ. Song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. We also have wonderful handbell and childrens choirs that play and sing in the service on a monthly basis.

What are the messages like? Each week our Pastor brings an inspiring message that will leave you challenged, encouraged and ready for the week ahead.

Is there something for my kids? Our kid's ministry area, including the nursery, is located in the education building. We provide a free nursery for children birth up to 2nd grade during our service. Sunday School is at 9:15 am for Pre-K through grade 7. For more information about our Children’s Ministry click here.

Is there something for Students? Yes, Youth Group (8th-12th Grade) meets various times throughout a month. For more information about Youth Group, click here.
